To all Backflow Testers and Plumbing Companies:
- The County is planning on accepting only LA County Certification for all internal assemblies within LA County until July 1, 2026. This means ABPA, ASSE 5110, and AWWA certification will NOT be accepted by LA County until that time. Many testers certified by LA County, will need to get recertified by LAC if it expires prior to July 1, 2026, to be able to test internal assemblies.
- PWSs can accept all certifications including LA County until July 1, 2026.

As of June 17th, ABPA and ASSE have been added to the SWRCB list of accredited backflow prevention programs.
