PWD Announces Winner of Before the First Drop Campaign Drawing

admin August 29, 2013

PALMDALE, CA, August 29, 2013 –The Palmdale Water District Board of Directors, at the regular board meeting, on August 29, 2003, announced the winner of the “Before the first Drop” campaign survey drawing. PWD customers needed to complete two surveys to be entered into the drawing. The surveys were used to see what the District’s customers knew about PWD’s operations and how much it costs before a customer receives one drop of water.

As the drum roll began, four Directors were asked to each pick one name from the survey drawing. The finalists in the “Before the First Drop” campaign survey were: David Marcelo, Pedro Martinez, Charles Redfern and Michael Blymyer. Director Gloria Dizmang, chairman for the outreach committee, picked the grand prize winning name from the four finalists. Mr. Charles Redfern, the grand prize winner will be receiving a water wise, sustainable, landscape renovation not to exceed $6000.00. Mr. Redfern will be notified and the process for the renovation will begin.

Way to go PWD‼️

Today’s Special Districts Association of North L.A. County Legislative Reception was a great success!

Local special districts came together with elected representatives for meaningful conversations about the work impacting our communities at the federal, state and county levels. The afternoon concluded with a special tour of the Parris Center (Multi-Agency Regional Resilience Center).

A special thank you to Tri Counties Bank, our event sponsor, and to our DJ sponsor for their generous support. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful day of connection and collaboration!
