Press Release – Los ajustes de tasa ayudan a garantizar la seguridad del agua para Palmdale

Palmdale, CA- El miércoles el Palmdale Water District pasó una ligera modificación de la tasa de 4.25% en lugar del 5.5% que fue propuesto inicialmente. Este ajuste mínimo aumentará la tarifa del servicio mensual aproximadamente $2.02-$2.50 por cada hogar residencial. El distrito continúa sus esfuerzos para mantener precios bajos y competitivos para sus clientes, al mismo tiempo ampliará su portafolio de agua local para asegurar la fiabilidad del suministro de agua a largo plazo.

El Palmdale Water District ha hecho una prioridad para desarrollar sus recursos hídricos mediante el uso de agua reciclada y eventualmente la pondrá a disposición de sus clientes. Los clientes beneficiaran porque al tener agua localizada reducirá la dependencia de fuentes externas, tales poco confiables y costosos como la Comisión Estatal del agua. El Distrito ha desarrollado un proyecto denominado The Palmdale Groundwater Recharge and Recovery Project que haría viable el agua producida a nivel regional.

Comparativamente, el ajuste aprobado anoche, en promedio, todavía les costara a los clientes del Palmdale Water District menos de lo que la mayoría de agencias vecindarios del agua cobran mensualmente. Sobre la base de una encuesta de las tarifas residenciales, clientes del Palmdale Water District actualmente pagan un promedio de $52.45/mes, mientras los clientes de Quartz Hill Water District pagan un promedio de $53.47, Region LACWW 34 pagan $57.47 y Rosamond Community Services District pagan $65.48.
