Capital Improvement Projects

The District’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) consists of planning design, and construction of the Palmdale Water District’s infrastructure. This includes the implementation of the District Master Plan for planned growth and the District Urban Water Management Plan for future water supply, demand, quality, recycling, and reliability.

The goal is to develop, manage, and schedule capital improvement projects (CIP) efficiently to guide the District in timely and cost-effective endeavors that contribute to the sustainability of its infrastructure, while exceeding the Districts’ standards and maintaining the reliability of service to its customers.

5-Year Capital Improvement Projects

Each year, the District prepares a 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), as part of the annual budget approval process. The 5-Year CIP identifies and prioritizes the capital facilities required to provide reliable and efficient service in accordance with proper asset management. The 5-Year CIP range from water main replacements, new potable wells, water augmentation projects, booster stations, and various other District assets.
