New Accounts: Residential Developer
Developers of Residential Properties tend to work in conjunction with the District's Engineering Department staff up to the time of service activation. The Palmdale Water District sees a Developer of Residential Properties as someone who develops a parcel(s) to accommodate multiple single family residences and has assumed responsibility for all water related billing and charges prior to their resale. The following will help you assemble the required document packet that may be faxed or presented to a PWD representative in person.

STEP 1 - Service Application
The completion of a Service Application is required for all new account applicants as well as a new account setup fee of $40.00.

STEP 2 - Deposit Requirement
The Palmdale Water District requires a deposit for all residential services in the amount of $200.00 per lot/unit under development (refundable upon account closure). This per unit deposit is required for only lots/units to be activated at time of application.
STEP 3 - Proof of Identity
Proof of identity for the developer may be required at time of application and would include, but not be limited to, DBA articles, a copy of applicant's valid picture ID
STEP 4 - Final Check List and Cover Sheet
For your convenience, we have included a printable cover sheet and checklist that may be used to accompany your document package via FAX transmission (661) 456-1086, or personal delivery to our customer service department. You can fax your service request documents however we do not offer same day service on faxes as it can take up to 3 - 5 business days) to process. If you need water service turned on the same day you must personally deliver the applicable documents to the customer service department on or before 3:30 p.m. excluding weekends or holidays.

   Issues that can delay or cause your application from being processed include the following:
  • If Proof of Identity are not present upon initial application submission, the applicant will have seven (7) calendar days to submit the required documents or the application will be denied.
