The Board of Directors of the Palmdale Water District, with all five Directors present, considered the following matters at the MAY 26, 2010 REGULAR BOARD MEETING:

•  Consent calendar items were unanimously approved as follows: May 12, 2010 regular meeting minutes; payment of bills for May 26, 2010 .

•  Consideration and possible action on request received from Mr. Joe Estes for relief of broken meter angle stop charges: It was approved to deny the request received from Mr. Joe Estes for relief of broken meter angle stop charges.

•  Consideration and possible action on Resolution No. 10-11 adopting the Palmdale Water District's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. (Assistant General Manager Paxton): This item was unanimously approved. The Local Hazard Mitigation Plan establishes the District's eligibility for certain disaster assistance and mitigation funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The purpose of the Plan is to reduce or eliminate long-term risks to people and property from natural and man-made hazards.

•  Consideration and possible action on ACS contract amendment no. 2. (Finance Manager Williams): This item was unanimously approved and amends the existing contract to acknowledge the original contract expiring on June 30, 2010 , allows the remaining Site Manager to be used on a month-to-month basis through August 31, 2010 , and recognizes the position of Webmaster on a part time basis until the completion of the web site update.

•  Consideration and possible action on appointment of Association of California Water Agencies/Joint Powers Insurance Authority (ACWA/JPIA) Representative. (President Dexter): It was unanimously approved for the appointment of Director Godin as the District's ACWA/JPIA Representative and Director Storm as the District's ACWA/JPIA Alternate Representative.
