The Palmdale Water District Information Technology (IT) department provides IT support for the District’s computer network, including the operation, maintenance, upgrade, and repair of network hardware and District employee workstations. The primary responsibility of the IT Department is providing a safe and secure networking environment. Additional responsibilities include the day-to-day operation of the network datacenter and servers, the District phone system, office machines, and software applications. The IT department is also responsible for testing and evaluating new software applications and hardware being considered for purchase by the District to insure they perform in our current, and future, infrastructure.

Jim Stanton,
Information Technology Manager

Mr. Stanton started with the District as a contractor in April 2008 and began his employment with the District in July 2010. Prior to being employed with the District he worked for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) as the Network Manager for the City of Palmdale. Prior to working for ACS he was a technical and application instructor with a national computer school. Over his career he has held numerous industry recognized certifications like Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), CompTIA Security +, CompTIA Network +, and CompTIA A+. Jim brings over 30 years networking and PC experience to the District.
