Facilities

The Facilities Department is in charge of maintaining and repairing all pipelines, vehicles, and equipment, and related facilities. This includes the District's 23 active wells, 178 reservoir sites, 15 booster stations, 14 pressure regulating stations, 9 seismic valves, 9 hydro-pneumatic tanks, and hypochlorite disinfection equipment at 32 sites. Our system currently consists over 400 miles of pipe, more than 9,050 valves, and over 27,000 metered connections.

Tim Moore,
Facilities Manager

Mr. Moore has worked in all aspects of the Water Distribution Industry starting with the Palmdale Water District as a Meter Reader 21 years ago. He then worked in the area of Customer Service which included repairing customer valves, replacing meters, and flushing distribution mains for water quality. He then transferred to the Construction Crew, which included repairing mainline leaks, pipeline installation, plumbing, and welding pipeline for District wells. Mr. Moore was promoted to Facilities Manager in 2006 and oversees field maintenance projects for the Palmdale Water District's water utility distribution system.

Mr. Moore holds a California Department of Public Health Water Distribution Grade 5 License and Water Treatment Grade 2 License.
